Ataraxia Updates #46 - 22nd June 2023

[+] General Changes

- Secondaries box now has 'Open-100' as the first option like the Herb box
- The Event timer on task tab will now display the time left for the active event
- Buffed the chance of the bleed from Spear of Annihilation/Masterwork Spear of Annihilation to trigger from 3%/5% to 6%/10%
- Buffed the bleed min/max hit on the Ek-Zekkil bleed effect from the special attack from (Number between 0.3 and 1.05) x ability damage to (Number between 0.5 and 1.25) x ability damage
- Buffed the minimum hit on the Ek-Zekkil special attack hit from 0.62 minimum to 0.92 minimum (the max is still at 1.9)
- Added Dragon battleaxe to the Melee equipment shop.. (sorry rei)
- Lowered the cooldown of Enhanced Excalibur and Ancient elven ritual shard based on donor rank: Default: 5 minutes, Diamond: 4 minutes and Master: 3 minutes
- Doubled the chance of Manuscripts of Bik from Tier 3 troves
- Sped up the action of crossing the Barbarian course log
- Banks for Master members will now reset the Igneous cape cooldown
- Added a confirmation dialogue to Perk boxes to ensure you're picking the perk you want
- You can now exchange Donor xfer scrolls for Dollars, buying them from Store items will no longer give Donor total
- Ataraxia Bot will now post In-game News such as level achievements and rare drops to a new channel instead of in-game sync where it all gets lost
- Mystery boxes will now have a 1/150 chance to give a Rare mystery box
- Lowered the price of Keepsake keys to $2 from $3
- Altar of War will now remove the Adrenaline pot cooldown debuff
- Completing a flawless hard mode TzKal-Zuk kill is now required for Completionist cape (t)
- Added an ;;alt1 command to quickly access the guide on how to add Alt1 to your Ataraxia client
- You can now teleport away from the Araxxor fight
- You can now teleport away from the Kalphite King fight
- You can now teleport away from the Vorago fight
- Added a cooldown to drinking Elder overload salve (unlimited), you can now only take a sip every 3 minutes
- Added Slayer gem and Grim gem equip options to Harold's helmet
- Lowered the hitpoints of Camel warrior mirages to 1.5k
- You can now use Follower pets to override Familiars
- Increased the activation chance of all Scriptures to 33% from 6.6%
- Increased the activation chance of all Godbooks from 5% to 25% and illuminated from 6.6% to 33%
- Added progress make-x interface to the Invention workbench manufacturing
- Igneous Ket-Mej will now increase your attack speed by 1 tick for 20 seconds instead of having 100% accuracy
- Added Convincing Cook and Cooking cape perk effects to Sinew cooking
- Tormented demons are now weak to Hexhunter bow

 

[+] Guthix Staff/Statius's Warhammer

- Guthix staff/Statius's warhammer can now be added to the Essence of Finality
- The special attack will be actionless unless it aligns with your attack pattern, dealing the special attack and attempt to apply the debuff to your target, but will not have a separate hit of damage:

[+] Sunspear

- You can now purchase a Sunspear at the Vote shop for 50 vote points
- This weapon can be used for all combat styles and interchanged as you like
- The Magic variant:

- Also, the Sunspear will have a Bonecrusher-esque effect on Vyrewatch corpses granting Prayer and Firemaking experience:

[+] Reaper Perks Interface

- Instead of the old dialogue, we have added the Reaper Perk Interface:

- You can unlock, activate and deactivate any perks you want!

- Furthermore, a new perk has been added: Reaper's Portal:

- For 1500 Reaper points you can unlock the ability to utilise the Reaper portal at ;;home, teleporting you to your current assignment:

- Now those end-game PvMers can speed up a bit more!

 

[+] Lamp/Star Changes

- Sam brought up an interesting topic as a Suggestion. He suggested we remove Treasure Hunter as the ability to train your skills and skip important progress by just Voting/Buying keys is pointless and long term detrimental.
- There was many mixed opinions about this, some were along the lines of "Now you're maxed you want to make it slower for everyone" and "That's how it is in rs3 so it doesn't matter". 
- I was paying close attention to the debate and forming my own opinion, something I noticed on Iron Chode is that pretty much all of the shit skills such as Runecrafting, Divination, Herblore, Hunter, Farming and any that you personally dislike can be skipped via saving up your lamps and spamming them all on a Triple experience event or weekend. Since realising how overpowered this is and how much content I could skip doing so, I've vowed only to use the lamps/stars on skills that have no content past 99 as it'd just be repeating the same content instead of experiencing new content.
- After reading this debate, Zilyana pointed out probably the best take that I saw. He stated (paraphrasing) "Treasure hunter isn't the issue, it's being able to bank all of the lamps". 
- As such, I decided that it is probably the best move for the longevity of Ataraxia that you will no longer be able to bank any stars or lamps. This doesn't take away from the ability to use these lamps and stars on skills you don't want to do, but stops you storing them for a rainy day and using them all at once to receive an obscene amount of experience.
- If you have lamps or stars in your bank, when you log on, you'll receive this message:

- Every time you open your bank you'll receive this message:

- You will have an option when talking to Lord Daquarius to claim your lamps/stars, you can claim them then from this interface:

- They will disappear in 24 hours, so use them quickly as we will not refund any lost lamps or stars.
- I know, this change will upset a few people, but I hope you can see the bigger picture, which is the longevity of Ataraxia and integrity of the game.
- If you have any questions/want to vent to someone, feel free to message me, this decision was mine and mine alone and I'll happily expand on why the decision was made.

- Quite similar to the old one, but we wanted to make it more represent the newer feel to the server using the RS3 interface style:

[+] Instances Overhaul

- Instances have been struggling/consistently having small issues.. Albeit a lot of them are fairly irrelevant like content overlapping or objects being in areas they shouldn't etc. But overall, it can be extremely frustrating when an instance issue can cause you to lose your kill
- Armar has put in a lot of effort into moving all Boss instances into a new system as well as potential fixes for other instance-related issues such as Dungeoneering.
- The old system didn't allow boss timer tracking, which is another huge benefit of the new system
- We're hoping this leads to a bit more stability, short and long term.
- Reworked Arch-Glacor's attack time system, hopefully leading to smoother and less buggy fights
- Here's a list of content that has had their Instances overhauled: Araxxor, Arch-Glacor, Croesus, Masuta, Seiryu, Sanctum Guardian, Taraket, The Ambassador, Rise of the Six, KBD, QBD, GWD1, GWD2, Fight Kiln, Fight Caves, Kalphite King, Legiones, The Magister, Nex, Nex:AOD, Raksha, Solak, Telos, Vorago, TzKal-Zuk, Nihils, Muspah

[+] Boss Timers

- OFFICIAL. BOSS. TIMERS. ARE. HERE.
- You can now fight any boss with an active Boss timer:

[+] Crystal Chest

- Crystal Chest has been actively debated ever since Arch-Glacor released thousands and thousands of keys
- This influx of keys has made the Crystal Key (g) creation similarly debated
- As it's either make the Key (g) or get carpal tunnel clicking the chest.
- Therefore, we've made it so you can "Auto-open" the crystal chest:

- It is quite slow, 4 ticks per key (2.4s), but fully afk.
- As we've added an option to auto-open, the Crystal key (g) combination price is now 10m from 12.5m

 

[+] Rare Mystery Box Rotation

- New rotation
- Had to close out a few of the designs with their final colour variations and have started new designs with their first colours!
- The Rainbow force field and the Halo of Returning are both a little bit rarer than the others.. (10 and 15 compared to 30 (vanilla rares are 5))

- Fixed a typo in Personal slayer dungeons
- Fixed being able to receive a duplicate Abyssal minion drop
- Fixed an issue where Elite dungeons rewards get lost, extended the loot chest to 48 items
- Fixed Rise of the Six drops not being posted to the Discord news
- Fixed bonfire buff not removing sometimes on death
- Fixed familiars/pet override bugging out the model
- Fixed an issue with Player Owned Farms creatures attempting to escape their pens
- Fixed Scroll of Cleansing Herblore effect
- Fixed time sprites for Ikovian memorial and Crucible stands debris excavations
- Fixed attacks that lower your poison timer (like Kalphite King) removing it completely
- Fixed TzKal-Zuk Top 3 broadcast stating the Normal mode kc hiscores instead of Hard mode
- Fixed GWD2 killcounts not multiplying properly (it would make 1.1 x 1 = 1 instead of 1.1)
- Fixed all existing issues with cutscenes in boss fights such as Fight Kiln
- Fixed Dungeoneering weapons scaling off your defence level instead of attack level in complexity 1 to complexity 3
- Fixed being unable to repair Masterwork spear of Annihilation
- Fixed augmenting refined anima core at the workbench and made them return the base anima core item when you disassemble them
- Fixed an issue with Ring of Kinship being customisable outside of Dungeoneering
- Fixed equipping Sign of porters stopping your action
- Fixed Trollheim agility shortcuts
- Fixed an issue with getting the number of online players
- Fixed buying items from shops using porters
- Fixed 'Identify the back of this' clue step
- Fixed arrows not showing the first time you open Animal paddocks
- Fixed issues with boss health bars saying the wrong names
