Each Monday around 6:00 PM CST / 7:00 PM CDT, this thread will be updated with that week's penguin locations. This is effectively the same exact list that's found on our Discord (link), but now on the forums!
EDIT: No longer being updated for the foreseeable future.

Welcome to my general gear guide!
Before the guide commences, I’d like to preface it by saying that the following is my personal recommendation for tiers that are worth grinding for. There will likely be ways of progressing that I hadn’t considered, or weird alternative methods that you’d rather do over the “meta” because you personally enjoy them more. Again; this isn’t a definitive list, it’s only my opinion.
The guide will be split up into the three differing combat styles, and weapon wield requirements will be for their respective main combat skill unless otherwise stated. For example, Attack for Melee, Ranged for Ranged, Magic for Magic.
MOST OF THIS GUIDE IS WRITTEN PRIMARILY FOR 1X REALISM EXP RATE WITH AN EMPHASIS ON IRONMAN MODE. Higher exp rates will change how worthwhile it is to grind out certain pieces of gear, and I won’t be accounting for all of the possibilities. You can pretty much disregard most things up to T80 weaponry and T70 armor if you're above the 1X Realism exp rate.
[MELEE]
Melee weapons and armor.
[WEAPONS]
Weapon progression for melee is relatively straightforward.
From the shops, buy every halberd up to and including dragon.
Bronze (1) > Iron (10) > Steel (20) > Mithril (30) > Adamant (40) > Rune (50) > Dragon (60)
> > > > > >
At this point you have a few options. Click on the option relevant to you below:
[SINGLE-WAY-COMBAT]
At level 70 Attack, buy the Necronium battleaxe and its off-hand variant from ;;shops.
OR
At level 70 Attack, create a Blisterwood polearm. Requires a Drakan's medallion (10 vote points), 76 Woodcutting to cut the blisterwood tree, 18 Crafting to make the silver sickles, and 70 Fletching to make the Blisterwood polearm.
At level 75 Attack, you may wish to upgrade to a Zamorak spear, a Saradomin sword, or any of the Godswords. Usually, this tier of weaponry is ignored due to the difficulty of obtaining these weapons for how short of a time you’ll be using them. I would personally recommend skipping this tier, unless you’re buying them from another player.
At level 80 Attack, you have quite a few options.
Your choice of chaotic melee weaponry
Chaotic maul (Average attack speed, degradable 2h crush weapon, repaired with coins and Dungeoneering tokens. I recommend this as it only costs 200,000 tokens, which makes it the cheapest option.)
Chaotic rapiers (Fast attack speed. Degradable dw stab weapons, repaired with coins and Dungeoneering tokens. Costs 300,000 tokens for the set and requires 80 Dungeoneering.)
Chaotic longswords (Fast attack speed. Degradable dw slash weapons, repaired with coins and Dungeoneering tokens. Costs 300,000 tokens for the set and requires 80 Dungeoneering.)
Chaotic claws (Fastest attack speed. Degradable dw slash weapons, repaired with coins and Dungeoneering tokens. Requires main-hand and off-hand dragon claws. Costs 300,000 tokens for the set and requires 80 Dungeoneering.)
Chaotic spear (Average attack speed degradable 2h stab weapon, repaired with coins and Dungeoneering tokens. Has a niche at the Corporeal beast. Requires Zamorakian spear, 200,000 tokens, and 80 Dungeoneering.)
If you'd rather not grind out Dungeoneering, there are other options for t80 weaponry as well.
T80 Attuned crystal halberd 2h degradable halberd, repaired with coins. [Requires 2,250 total level or the Elf's Friend perk, 90 Smithing to receive a free attuned crystal weapon seed, 75 Crafting, and 2,000 harmonic dust] (do NOT make the other crystal Melee weapons; the halberd is superior). Also requires 50 Agility.
With level 80 Smithing (and 80 Mining if you’re an Ironman), you can make Banite equipment.
I would recommend the t80 (t79) Bane 2h + 4, as it requires less materials than making the main-hand and off-hand longswords.
For weapons above t80, check out the "Above T80 Weaponry" box below.
[POWER-LEVELING IN MULTI-COMBAT]
Power-leveling in multi-combat typically requires the use of aggression potions, but can otherwise be done at the God Wars Dungeon.
To effectively power train, you'll want access to Prifddinas which requires 2,250 total level OR the Elf's Friend perk. You'll also want level 90 Smithing for a free attuned crystal weapon seed, and 75 Crafting to gather harmonic dust, and access to aggression potions. Ideally, you'll want to be killing abyssal demons in the wilderness OR ankous within the Stronghold of Security.
At level 70 Attack, get yourself a Crystal halberd. Degradable t70 halberd, repaired with coins. Also requires 50 Agility.
At level 80 Attack, get an Attuned crystal halberd. 2h degradable halberd, repaired with coins.
At this point you can grind all the way to level 99 very quickly.
For weapons above t80, check out the "Above T80 Weaponry" box below.
[ABOVE T80 WEAPONRY]
There are MANY options for weapons above t80, as per the guide, I'll only list the ones I think are worth grinding for.
T82 main-and-off-hand Khopesh of the Kharidian. degradable dw stab weapons, repaired with coins. Dropped by creatures in the Sophanem Slayer Dungeon. Required for comp(t).
T85 Dragon Rider lance. degradable 2h halberd weapon, repaired with coins. Dropped by Vindicta & Gorvek in the Heart of Gielinor; it's a VERY useful weapon. 2h with t90 accuracy, t80 damage.
T85 Blade of Nymora and Blade of Avaryss. degradable dw stab weapons, repaired with coins. Dropped by the Twin Furies. Dw with t90 accuracy, t80 damage.
T85 main-hand and off-hand Ripper claw. degradable dw slash weapons, repaired with coins. Dropped by Ripper demons (96 Slayer). Dw with t85 accuracy and damage.
T85 Dark ice shard and Dark ice silver. degradable dw slash main-hand and stab off-hand weapons, repaired with coins. Crafted with drops from the Arch-Glacor. Dw with t85 accuracy and damage.
T90 (t85) Elder rune 2h sword + 5. degradable 2h slash weapon, repaired with coins. Created with level 90 Smithing, and level 90 Mining if you're an ironman. 2h with t85 accuracy and damage.
True t90+ weaponry:
T90 Spear of Annihilation. degradable 2h stab weapon, repaired with coins. Created with 115 Archaeology using the Spear of Annihilation tip. Can be upgraded to the T92 Masterwork Spear of Annihilation.
Has a passive effect; 3% chance to inflict your target with a melee bleed that deals 60-90 damage every tick (0.6 seconds). This effect lasts for 6 ticks, dealing a total of 360-540 damage over 3.6 seconds.
T90 Noxious scythe. degradable 2h halberd weapon, repaired with coins. Created with pieces dropped by Araxxi. Incredibly useful halberd weapon.
Has a special attack; Mirrorback, which requires full adrenaline or special attack and will summon a mirrorback spider to aid the player. While active, the spider will reduce damage from attacks against the player by 50%, and reflect 100% of the damage to the attacker, but the spider will also be damaged for the reduced amount.
T90 Drygore weaponry. degradable dw weapons, repaired with coins. Dropped by the Kalphite King. All of the drygore equipment is roughly equivalent.
Longswords:
Maces:
Rapiers:
T92 Masterwork Spear of Annihilation. degradable 2h stab weapon, repaired with coins. Requires level 99 Smithing and is an upgrade to the T90 Spear of Annihilation. Best-in-slot weapon against the Corporeal beast.
Has a passive effect; 5% chance to inflict your target with a melee bleed that deals 90-120 damage every tick (0.6 seconds). This effect lasts for 6 ticks, dealing a total of 540-720 damage over 3.6 seconds.
T92 Khopesh of Tumeken and Khopesh of Elidinis. degradable dw stab weapons, repaired with coins. Created with the main-hand and off-hand T82 Khopeshes of the Kharidian in combination with scraps of scripture from the Magister. It is a trimmed completionist cape requirement to craft these.
T92 Zaros godsword. degradable 2h slash weapon, repaired with coins. Created with drops obtained from Telos, the Warden.
Has an incredibly powerful special attack; Blackhole. Costing 50% Adrenaline, the special attack creates a swirling black hole under the player's current location, which has an area-of-effect of 7x7 (grid of game squares), that lasts for 21 seconds.
When the player is within the area-of-effect, their melee damage is increased by 25%.
Additionally, if the initial target stays within the area-of-effect then it will take a maximum of 11 hits (275%-550% ability damage in total) spread over the Blackholes duration.T95 Dark Shard of Leng and Dark Silver of Leng. degradable dw slash main-hand and stab off-hand weapons, repaired with coins. Created with drops obtained from Hardmode Arch-Glacor. Currently tied for the highest level melee weapons in the game.
The Dark Shard of Leng has a custom special attack, which is a much stronger dragon dagger special attack that also costs 25% adrenaline.
T95 Ek-ZekKil. Degradable 2h slash weapon, repaired with coins. Created with drops obtained from Hardmode TzKal-Zuk. Currently tied for the highest level melee weapon in the game.
Has a powerful special attack: Igneous Cleave, which costs 50% adrenaline and has a 60 second cooldown.
When used, the player cleaves at their target for 62%-190% initial ability damage, before inflicting a bleed of 6 hits, the first hit of the bleed dealing 30%-105% ability damage. Each subsequent hit deals a multiplicative 5% increased amount of damage from the previous. If the first bleed hit deals D damage, the second bleed hit will deal 1.05 * D, the third bleed hit will deal (1.05)² * D, and so on. Each bleed hit lands 4 ticks after the previous.

[ARMOR]
This section will be split up into two. [MINING & SMITHING] and [BOSSING].
But before that, go buy T50 Rune armor from ;;shops.
[MINING & SMITHING]
Creating your own armor through Mining & Smithing is an extremely cost-effective path, and is what I would recommend for Ironmen. Of course, you can simply just buy the armor from other players if you're not an Ironman.
NOTE: Gloves in sets below Elder rune are optional as far as gear progression goes, as Barrows gloves are quite good for how easy they are to obtain.
T60 Orikalkum. Requires 60 Defence. Also 60 Smithing and Mining if Ironman. Can be upgraded to + 3 in order to give it t63 stats.
T70 Necronium. Degradable armor set, repaired with coins or bars of the same type. Requires 70 Defence. Also 70 Smithing and Mining if Ironman. Can be upgraded to + 4 in order to give it t74 stats.
T75 Banite. Degradable armor set, repaired with coins or bars of the same type. Requires 80 Defence. Also 80 Smithing and Mining if Ironman. Can be upgraded to + 4 in order to give it t79 stats.
T80 Elder rune. Degradable armor set, repaired with coins or bars of the same type. Requires 90 Defence. Also 90 Smithing and Mining if Ironman. Can be upgraded to + 5 in order to give it t85 stats.
T90 Masterwork. T90 degradable power armor set, repaired with coins. Requires 90 Defence. Also 99 Smithing and 90 Mining if Ironman. This armor set can seem daunting to create at first, but it's really not that bad. Please read the wiki https://runescape.wiki/w/Masterwork_armour#Material_cost_analysis.
I would personally recommend that you do NOT make the helmet. Harold's helm (seen in other equipment you may wish to obtain) is better in practically every situation, and DOES NOT degrade.
Has a set effect; wearing 3 pieces of this armor set will give you an additional 10% damage bonus.
______________________________________________________________
[BOSSING]
Bossing in order to receive armor drops is a nice alternative to grinding out Mining and Smithing, and typically results in better gear since all the armor sets from Smithing but Masterwork are tank armor.
T70 Bandos armor. Requires 70 Defence. Non-degradable power armor dropped from General Graardor in the God Wars Dungeon, requiring level 70 Strength in order to enter his area.
T80 Torva armor. Requires 80 Defence. Degradable power armor, repaired with coins, dropped from Nex in the God Wars Dungeon, requiring you to obtain the frozen key (link) in order to enter her room OR teleport to Nex via a boss portal. Required in order to make T92 Trimmed masterwork, as seen below.
T80 Anima core of Zaros armor. Requires 80 Defence. Non-degradable power armor created from items dropped by Vindicta & Gorvek in the Heart of Gielinor.
T85 Refined anima core of Zaros armor. Requires 85 Defence. Degradable power armor, created and repaired with GWD2 essence, upgraded from the T80 Anima core of Zaros armor set.
T90 Malevolent armor. Requires 90 Defence. Degradable power armor, lasts for 100,000 charges of combat and DEGRADES TO DUST. Created with 84 Malevolent energies, obtained from Barrows: Rise of the Six.
Recommendation: Skip this armor set and just make or buy Masterwork instead. The upkeep of Malevolent is insanely high, and is absolutely not worth it. The only reason you should have this armor set is for FashionScape or because you want to make the T92 Trimmed masterwork armor listed below.
Both of the above options are eventually required in order to make the final set of melee armor:
T92 Trimmed masterwork. Requires 92 Defence. Also 99 Smithing and 90 Mining if Ironman. T92 degradable power armor.
Personal recommendation: Do NOT make the helmet unless you need the extra damage soaking. Harold's helm (seen in other equipment you may wish to obtain) is better in every other situation, and does NOT degrade.
Requires a respective piece of masterwork, Praesulic essence (melee) from Torva armor dropped by Nex, and Malevolent essence from Malevolent armor obtained from Barrows: Rise of the Six.
I implore you to read the wiki on this armor set here https://runescape.wiki/w/Trimmed_masterwork_armour#Creation, but in short: This armor set will degrade, requiring a FULL SET OF MASTERWORK in order to repair it. HOWEVER, you can Custom-fit the armor by speaking to Elof in the Artisan's Workshop. This process makes the item permanently untradeable but has twice as many charges as normal trimmed masterwork and will prevent degrading while attacking your current slayer assignment, Soul reaper task, or within an Elite Dungeon.
Has two set effects; wearing 3 pieces of this armor set will give you an additional 15% damage bonus, and when three, four, or five pieces of the set are worn, incoming damage dealt to the player is reduced by 30%, 40%, or 50%, respectively (after calculating any damage reduction first), the damage that was reduced by the armour in the first instance is then dealt as a bleed dealing 20% of the stored damage per hit every two ticks, with the possible remainder caused by rounding being dealt as the sixth and final hit.

[RANGED]
Ranged weapons, ammunition, and armor below!
But first, go to ;;shops and buy yourself a set of T50 Blue dragonhide, which requires 50 Defence, as well as the T50 Ava's alerter.
[WEAPONS]
Ranged weaponry is quite straightforward on Ataraxia.
To start off, buy all of the shortbows at ;;shops up to and including Elder.
Shortbow (1) > Oak (10) > Willow (20) > Maple (30) > Yew (40) > Magic (50) > Elder (60)
> > > > > >
And around 500 Bronze (1) and Iron arrows (10), around 1,000 Mithril arrows (30), and many Rune arrows (50).
For T70, get yourself a Crystal bow. T70 degradable bow, repaired with coins, which can be obtained from Max's Trivia Point Shop at ;;shops for 30 Trivia points. Also requires level 50 Agility.
At level 80 Ranged, you have a few options.
T80 Royal crossbow. (2h t80 crossbow. Created with drops obtained from the Queen Black Dragon, whom is incredibly easy to kill.)
T80 Chaotic crossbows. (Dw t80 degradable crossbows, repaired with coins and Dungeoneering tokens. 300,000 tokens for the set. Also requires level 80 Dungeoneering)
T80 Attuned crystal bow [2h t80 degradable bow, repaired with coins, with high damage output due to its Fast attack speed. Requires 2,250 total level or the Elf's Friend perk, 90 Smithing to receive a free attuned crystal weapon seed, 75 Crafting, and 2,000 harmonic dust] (do NOT make the other crystal Ranged weapons; the bow is superior). Also requires 50 Agility.
T80 Zaryte bow. (2h t80 degradable chargebow, repaired with coins, with high damage output due to its Fast attack speed. Dropped from Nex in the God Wars Dungeon, requiring you to obtain the frozen key (link) in order to enter her room OR teleport to Nex via a boss portal.)
_________________________________________________________________________________
Above T80 Weaponry
T80 (~t96.5) Hexhunter bow.
Dropped by Veil-Ripper Ozharakha, who has a 1/5,000 chance of spawning when killing a Soulgazer (99 Slayer requirement), the Hexhunter bow is by far the Ranged weapon overall on Ataraxia.
The Hexhunter bow has a passive effect that provides bonuses when used against magic-classed enemies or targets that have a weakness to arrows:
+12.5% damage boost against magic-classed enemies.
+10% hit chance boost against magic-classed enemies.
+5 affinity buff to the user on targets that have a weakness to arrows. This buff is independent from the other two passive effects. This effectively makes the Hexhunter bow a ~t96.5 weapon when used against a magic-classed or weak-to-arrows enemy. On top of that, it's a 2h weapon with the Fastest attack speed, giving it an insane amount of damage per minute WITHOUT its passive effect.
Basically, the Hexhunter bow outshines practically every other Ranged primary weapon outside of a few cases. Blightbounds with Ruby bakriminel bolts (e) gives the Hexhunter bow a run for its money.
If you don't feel like grinding out a Hexhunter bow, there are other options, but just know that the Hexhunter bow is typically the best Ranged weapon in the game overall:
T85 Shadow glaives. Degradable dw t85 thrown weapons, repaired with coins. Obtained as a drop from Gregorovic in the Heart of Gielinor. T80 damage and T90 accuracy.
T85 Wyvern crossbow. Degradable 2h t85 crossbow, repaired with coins. Obtained as a drop from Living wyverns (96 Slayer). Has NO PASSIVE EFFECT on Ataraxia.
T90 Ascension crossbows. Degradable dw t90 crossbows, repaired with coins. Requires 95 Slayer and two MAIN-HAND dragon crossbows if making yourself.
T92 Blightbound crossbows. Degradable dw t92 crossbows, repaired with coins. Dropped by Solak, the Grove Guardian.
Has a special effect that gives a 25% chance to save bakriminel bolts. Combined with the off-hand blightbound crossbow, there will be a 50% chance in total.
T92 Eldritch crossbow. Degradable 2h t92 crossbow, repaired with coins. Created from items dropped by the Ambassador.)
Has an incredibly powerful special attack: Split Soul, requiring 25% adrenaline to activate. For 15 seconds, instead of healing the player, the Soul Split curse damages the player's target for 4 times the amount of life points it would have healed.
T92 Seren godbow. Degradable 2h t92 bow, repaired with coins. Used pretty much ONLY for its special attack. Created from items dropped by Telos, the Warden.
Has an incredibly powerful special attack called Crystal Rain which costs 30% adrenaline. Five arrows are launched into the air with the first arrow always landing and dealing damage one tick before the remaining arrows. Can cause MASSIVE amounts of damage. HAS NO COOLDOWN.
"But Battison Jones," you may ask, "why is the Noxious longbow not on this list?"
It honestly is just not good compared to the other Ranged options. Don't waste your time making it if you can help it, and don't waste your money buying it. You're sad if you get the web as a drop, unless you need it to complete the log.

[AMMUNITION]
[BAKRIMINEL BOLTS]
All of the enchanted Bakriminel bolts are T99, and have wildly differing effects, some with niche use cases, but I'll only be listing the prevalent bolts. These are all tied for the highest level bolt ammunition in the game.
Ruby bakriminel bolts (e). Useful against any boss with an HP amount higher than 5,000. Has a 5% chance of triggering the Blood Forfeit effect, which hits the target for up to 20% of their remaining life points, while dealing the player 10% of their own life points as recoil. Caps at 2,000 damage in a single hit, unless paired other methods of increasing the hit cap (Smoke Cloud, Grimoire, 10% Reaper damage buff, etc).
Hydrix bakriminel bolts (e). A bolt that's very useful if you have a Seren godbow or Eldritch crossbow. Has a 10% chance of triggering the Deathmark effect, which instantly grants the player 10% adrenaline.
Diamond bakriminel bolts (e). Useful against bosses that have high defence. Has a 5% chance of triggering the Armour Piercing effect, which deals up to 15% more damage to the target with perfect accuracy (read: doesn't miss).
Emerald bakriminel bolts (e).
Useful against bosses that are NOT immune to poison. Has a 55% chance of triggering the Magical Poison effect. Upon activation the target is damaged an additional 2-4% weapon damage in the form of a single poison type hit that does not override the player's weapon poison. This effect scales with poison modifiers such as Cinderbane gloves, and kwuarm incense sticks.CURRENTLY DOES NOT WORK
Dragonstone bakriminel bolts (e). Niche bolt that's primarily useful at Nex, because of her damage caps. Has a 5% chance of triggering the Dragon's Breath effect, which hit the target a second time for 25% of your current attack as dragonfire. Dragons and those under dragonfire protection such as a anti-dragon shield/dragonfire shield or antifire potion are immune.
______________________________________________________________
[ARROWS]
The selection of arrows is very straightforward, at least until we get Accidental Fletching & Firemaking.
T60 (~t83.5) Dragonbane arrows. (Untradeable. Gives the player +40% damage and +30% (additive) hit chance against monsters affected by Dragonbane, effectively making them ~t83.5. If you're a Master rank donor, you can obtain a large quantity of Dragonbane arrows from the Master donator shop.)
T80 Stalker arrows. Requiring 95 Fletching, you obtain these by combining stalker essence dropped from Seekers (71 Slayer) and Soulgazers (99 Slayer) with t70 Dark arrows.
T85 Wild arrows. Dropped from Lava strykewyrms (94 Slayer).
T90 Araxyte arrows. Dropped from Araxxi.
T92 Black stone arrows. Requiring 92 Fletching, and 90 Woodcutting if Ironman, you obtain these by attaching Black stone arrow tips, dropped by creatures in The Shadow Reef elite dungeon, with elder headless arrows.
T95 Deathspore arrows. Requiring 95 Fletching, and 90 Woodcutting if Ironman, you obtain these by attaching Deathspore arrow tips, obtained while Woodcutting with Sana's fyrtorch dropped by Croesus, to elder headless arrows. These are currently tied for the highest level arrow available in the game with Splintering arrows.
Has a passive effect; each time you critically strike with a Ranged attack, you gain a stack of Feasting Spores, which lasts for 30 seconds and is refreshed by gaining more stacks. After gaining 5 stacks, the next special attack you use within 10 seconds will cost 0% adrenaline. The effect then goes on cooldown for a minute.
T95 Splintering arrows. Requiring 95 Fletching, and 90 Woodcutting if Ironman, you obtain these by attaching Splintering arrow tips, obtained while Mining Core ores with Tagga's corehammer dropped by Croesus, to elder headless arrows. These are currently tied for the highest level arrow available in the game with Deathspore arrows.
Has a passive effect; 5% chance of firing off an additional attack with its own separate damage roll.
.

[ARMOR]
This section will be split into two subcategories; [CRAFTING] and [BOSSING]. Feel free to swap between the two subcategories whenever you wish; just always aim for the next tier!
[CRAFTING]
Crafting your own Ranged armor sets typically isn't a very lucrative activity. The Crafting requirements for the 'higher-tier' armor sets are typically very high, while the stats for the armor you make are typically quite low barring a few exceptions. Regardless;
Gloves in ALL of these sets are optional as far as gear progression goes, as Barrows gloves are quite good for how easy they are to obtain.
T60 Black dragonhide. Requires 60 Defence. T60 tank armor. Requires 84 Crafting to create.
T65 Royal dragonhide. Requires 65 Defence. T65 tank armor. Requires 93 Crafting to create. Royal dragonhide is obtained from the Queen Black Dragon.
T75 Dinosaurhide armor. Requires 75 Defence. T75 degradable tank armor with 100,000 charges, repaired with Dinosaur scales, obtained from Big Game Hunter. Requires 93 Crafting to create.
T90 Sirenic armor. Requires 90 Defence. T90 degrade-to-dust power armor with 100,000 charges. Requires 93 Crafting to create. Crafted with scales obtained from killing various monsters around Ataraxia. Required in order to make T92 Elite sirenic, as seen below.
Personal recommendation: I would recommend avoiding the use of T90 Sirenic, and instead try to get your hands on the T92 Elite sirenic armor set. It has a MUCH higher cost up-front, but the upkeep is a lot cheaper than the T90 Sirenic armor set.
If you do wish to make the T90 Sirenic set anyway, then I would GREATLY recommend that you do NOT make the helmet. Harold's helm (seen in other equipment you may wish to obtain) is better in practically every situation, and does NOT degrade.
Has a set effect; wearing 2 pieces of this armor set will give you an additional 10% damage bonus.
______________________________________________________________
[BOSSING]
Bossing in order to receive armor drops is a nice alternative to grinding out Crafting, and typically results in better gear since all the armor sets from Crafting are tank armor except Sirenic.
T70 Armadyl armor. Requires 70 Defence. Non-degradable power armor dropped from Kree'arra in the God Wars Dungeon, requiring level 70 Ranged in order to enter his area.
T80 Pernix armor. Requires 80 Defence. Degradable power armor, repaired with coins, dropped from Nex in the God Wars Dungeon, requiring you to obtain the frozen key (link) in order to enter her room OR teleport to Nex via a boss portal. Required in order to make T92 Elite sirenic, as seen below.
T80 Anima core of Zamorak armor. Requires 80 Defence. Non-degradable power armor created from items dropped by the Twin Furies in the Heart of Gielinor.
T85 Refined anima core of Zamorak armor. Requires 85 Defence. Degradable power armor, created and repaired with GWD2 essence, upgraded from the T80 Anima core of Zamorak armor set.
Both of the above subcategories are eventually required for the best Ranged armor set in the game:
T92 Elite sirenic armor. Requires 92 Defence. Requires 93 Crafting to create. Degradable power armor with 100,000 charges which doesn't degrade when used within Elite Dungeons, repaired using Elite sirenic repair patches. Crafted by combining a COMPLETELY UNWORN AND ENTIRELY UNAUGMENTED T90 Sirenic armor set with Ancient scales obtained from the Temple of Aminishi, Algarum thread, Chaotic spikes from Dungeoneering, and Praesulic essence (ranged) from Pernix armor dropped by Nex.
Personal recommendation: Do NOT make the helmet. Harold's helm (seen in other equipment you may wish to obtain) is better in practically every situation, and does NOT degrade. Use this T92 Elite sirenic over the T90 Sirenic armor set if you can. It has a MUCH higher cost up-front, but the upkeep is a lot cheaper than the T90 Sirenic armor set.
Has a set effect; wearing 2 pieces of this armor set will give you an additional 15% damage bonus.
.
[MAGIC]
Magic weapons and armor.
Before we get started, head on over to ;;shops and pick yourself up a full set of T60 Lunar armor, and a God cape of your choice.
[WEAPONS]
From T10-T70, head to ;;shops and grab and all the wands/books/orbs up to and including Grifolic wand and orb, then grab a Blisterwood staff.
Imp-hide (10) > Spidersilk (20) > Batwing (30) > Splitbark (40) > Mystic (50) > Grifolic (60) > Blisterwood (70)
> > > > > >
For T75, grab yourself a Staff of Light. Non-degradable staff which can be obtained from Max's Trivia Point Shop at ;;shops for 30 Trivia points.
Has a passive; when a combat spell (including curse spells like Confuse or Entangle) is cast with the staff, there is a 12.5% (1/8) chance that the staff will negate the rune cost for that spell.
Also has a special attack; Power of Light, which uses 100% adrenaline. When used, all damage from melee attacks against the player is reduced by 50% for 1 minute.
OR
T75 Abyssal wand and orb. Non-degradable dw set. Obtained from Abyssal demons (85 Slayer).
Has a passive; when a combat spell (including curse spells like Confuse or Entangle) is cast with the staff, there is a 12.5% (1/8) chance that the wand and orb will negate the rune cost for that spell.
T80 Chaotic staff. Degradable staff, repaired with coins and Dungeoneering tokens, obtained for 200,000 tokens from Dungeoneering. Also requires 80 Dungoneering.
T80 Attuned crystal staff. 2h degradable staff, repaired with coins. [Requires 2,250 total level or the Elf's Friend perk, 90 Smithing to receive a free attuned crystal weapon seed, 75 Crafting, and 2,000 harmonic dust] (do NOT make the other crystal Magic weapons; the staff is the better choice). Also requires 50 Agility.
T80 Virtus wand and book. Non-degradable dw set dropped from Nex in the God Wars Dungeon, requiring you to obtain the frozen key (link) in order to enter her room OR teleport to Nex via a boss portal.
Weaponry Above T80
T82 Limitless staff of X. Degradable staff, repaired with coins, obtained by combining an elemental impetus from Master clue scrolls with a Mystic elemental staff of choice. Requires 75 Crafting to create.
T85 Camel staff. Degradable staff, repaired with coins, obtained as a drop from Camel warriors (96 Slayer). Provides infinite fire runes. Required to make the Guthix staff in ;;comb
T85 Wand and orb of the Cywir elders. Degradable dw wand and orb, repaired with coins. Dropped by Helwyr in the Heart of Gielinor. Dw with t90 accuracy, t80 damage.
T90 Seismic wand & singularity. Degradable dw wand and orb, repaired with coins. Dropped by Vorago. The singularity is required to make the Kalphite rebounder.
T90 Noxious staff. Degradable 2h staff, repaired with coins. Created with pieces dropped by Araxxi.
Has a special attack: Mirrorback, which requires full adrenaline or special attack and will summon a mirrorback spider to aid the player. While active, the spider will reduce damage from attacks against the player by 50%, and reflect 100% of the damage to the attacker, but the spider will also be damaged for the reduced amount.
T92 Wand of the praesul & Imperium core. Degradable dw wand and orb, repaired with coins. Dropped by Nex, Angel of Death in the God Wars Dungeon, requiring you to obtain the frozen key (link) in order to enter her room OR teleport to Nex via a boss portal.
T92 Staff of Sliske. Degradable 2h staff, repaired with coins. Created from items dropped by Telos, the Warden.
Has a special attack: From the Shadows: a shadow clone is summoned from the Shadow Realm that attacks your target five times, dealing 20-100% ability damage each attack. This costs 50% adrenaline, and only one wight can be summoned at once. The clone ignores the opponent's defence and the player's accuracy, having a practically guaranteed chance to hit.
T80 (t96.5) Inquisitor's staff. Degradable 2h staff, repaired with coins. Created with 114 Archaeology using after obtaining all three pieces from the Kharid-Et digsite.
The Inquisitor's staff has a passive effect that provides bonuses when used against melee classed enemies or targets that have a weakness to the selected spell type:
+12.5% damage boost against melee-classed enemies
+10% hit chance boost against melee-classed enemies
+5 affinity buff to the user on targets that have a weakness to the appropriately selected elemental spell (air, earth, fire, or water). This buff is independent from the other two passive effects.
This effectively makes the Inquisitor's staff a ~t96.5 weapon when used against a melee-classed or weak-to-magic enemy.
T95 Fractured Staff of Armadyl. Degradable 2h staff, repaired with coins. Created with 95 Crafting by combining all three fractured staff pieces dropped by Hardmode Kerapac, the Bound.
Has a special attack, Instability: Costs 50% adrenaline and has a 60 second cooldown between uses. For 30 seconds, whenever the player inflicts a magic critical hit on their primary target, they will also fire a time strike, dealing 80% ability damage and landing 1 game tick after the source hit. If the time strike lands as a critical hit, it will recursively generate further hits with diminishing returns (40%, then 20% damage) up to a maximum of 3 extra attacks. So in total, one single critical strike can cause additional hits of 80%, 40%, and 20% damage.

[ARMOR]
Armor progression is pretty straightforward from Lunar equipment.
T70 Subjugation robes. Requires 70 Defence. Non-degradable power armor. Obtained as drops from K'ril Trutsaroth in God Wars Dungeon 1, requiring 70 Constitution to enter his area.
T80 Virtus robes. Requires 80 Defence. Degradable power armor, repaired with coins. Obtained as drops from Nex in God Wars Dungeon 1, requiring the frozen key (link) to enter her room OR teleport to Nex via a boss portal.
T80 Anima core of Seren. Requires 80 Defence. Non-degradable power armor created from items dropped by Helwyr in the Heart of Gielinor.
T85 Refined anima core of Seren. Requires 85 Defence. Degradable power armor, created and repaired with GWD2 essence, upgraded from the T80 Anima core of Seren armor set.
T90 Cryptbloom. Requires 90 Defence. Degradable tank armor, created and repaired with croesus flakes, dropped in an incomplete form by Croesus in the Elder God Wars dungeon. It's recommended to augment the top and bottoms as soon as possible to circumvent the repair costs, among the usual reasons.Has a set effect depending on the pieces equipped:2 pieces: Reduces incoming magic damage by 12% and melee by 8%.
3 pieces: Increases effectiveness by 6% and 4% magic and melee damage respectively, for 18% magic and 12% melee damage reduction. The effect is doubled if the player is using earth spells, for 24% magic and 16% melee damage reduction.
4 pieces: Whenever the player takes damage, there is a 6% chance to infect their target with death spores. This increases damage dealt against them from behind by 10% for 15 seconds, along with the 3-piece set effect.
5 pieces: When the player falls below 20% of their maximum health, the armour will generate a fungal shield to protect the player for 15 seconds. Its durability is tied to the player's armour rating and Defence level. The shield has 120 second cooldown time before it can be used again. The player also retains the benefits from the 3 and 4-piece sets.T90 Tectonic armor. Requires 90 Defence. Crafted from Tectonic energy obtained from Vorago, 84 required for the entire set. 93 Runecrafting required to craft the set.
Personal recommendation: I would recommend avoiding the use of T90 Tectonic, and instead try to get your hands on the T92 Elite tectonic armor set. It has a MUCH higher cost up-front, but the upkeep is a lot cheaper than the T90 Tectonic armor set.
If you do wish to make the T90 Tectonic set anyway, then I would GREATLY recommend that you do NOT make the helmet. Harold's helm (seen in other equipment you may wish to obtain) is better in practically every situation, and does NOT degrade.
Has a set effect; wearing 2 pieces of this armor will give you an additional 10% damage bonus.
T92 Elite tectonic armor. Requires 92 Defence. Requires 93 Runecrafting to create. Degradable power armor with 100,000 charges which doesn't degrade when used within Elite Dungeons, repaired using Elite tectonic repair patches. Crafted by combining a COMPLETELY UNWORN AND ENTIRELY UNAUGMENTED T90 Tectonic armor set with Draconic energy obtained from the Temple of Aminishi, Stones of Binding, Chaotic Remnants from Dungeoneering, and Praesulic essence (magic) from Virtus armor dropped by Nex.
Personal recommendation: Do NOT make the helmet. Harold's helm (seen in other equipment you may wish to obtain) is better in practically every situation, and does NOT degrade. Use this T92 Elite tectonic armor over the T90 Tectonic armor set if you can. It has a MUCH higher cost up-front, but the upkeep is a lot cheaper than the T90 Tectonic armor set.
Has a set effect; wearing 2 pieces of this armor set will give you an additional 15% damage bonus.

1. Soul Split has a 50% chance to heal 25-50% more (an average of 18.75% more healing)
2. [NOT CURRENTLY ADDED] The base damage reduction of protection prayers and deflection curses is increased by 10% (giving them 60% damage reduction)Reaper necklace. Has a passive effect: all successful hits give a 0.1% hit chance boost in all styles for 54 seconds, stacking up to 30 times (a total 3% hit chance increase); however taking the necklace off or switching it for another item will cause the buff to disappear. Missed hits do not count towards stacks.
Essence of Finality amulet (or). Degradable amulet, repaired with Alchemical hydrix dust. Requiring 99 Crafting, it's made by combining an alchemical hydrix with a fully-charged amulet of souls and reaper necklace. The (or) amulet is created by combining a soul ornament kit and reaper ornament kit together, then using it on a fully charged Essence of Finality amulet. In addition to providing the best-in-slot neckwear stats for PvM, it also combines the effects of the Amulet of souls and Reaper necklace.

[SECRET PVP ARMOR AND WEAPONS SECTION]
Hello. You've stumbled upon the cursed section of the guide. If you're and Ironman and you proceed with this route, all I can say is; good luck. I hope you have good RNG.
There is a set of equipment for each combat style, known as the Ancient Warriors' equipment. (read the full list here: https://runescape.wiki/w/Ancient_Warriors'_equipment)
They are drops that are very rare from Revenants and the Chaos Elemental. At first, they are T78 weapons and armor. But you can upgrade them with an Ancient Warriors' equipment patch (read more here: https://runescape.wiki/w/Ancient_warriors'_equipment_patch) that will turn these weak baby T78 weapons and armors into T88.
"Well Battison Jones," you may say, "this sounds great! T88 weapons and armors with low requirements to obtain them! What's the catch?"
The catch is that the weapons and armor degrade to dust after 100,000 charges.
Nah, the real catch is that the HIGHEST chances you have to obtain a SINGLE SPECIFIC PIECE OF EQUIPMENT is either ~1/9,092 from a Revenant dragon, or 1/28,800 from the Chaos Elemental. Yikes.

Batt's Updated Trivia Guide [2023]
Welcome to my updated trivia guide!
In this guide you will find a variety of detailed information about trivia, the rewards you can obtain by playing trivia, the possible questions and answers to them, and more.
Table of Contents:
I. Trivia rewards
II. The process of finding and answering trivia questions.
III. Questions and answers!
I. Trivia rewards
First thing's first; why should you participate in trivia? What makes it worth your while?
For answering a trivia question you will receive gold, the amount received depending both on the difficulty of the question and the number of people that have answered it, as well as trivia points which you can spend at the trivia point shop! For being the very first person to answer a trivia question, for example "Whlch of tho orlglnal GWD boszes con attock wlth aIl combatt styIes?", you will receive 450,000 coins added straight to your coin pouch as well as 2 trivia points, where as the second person to answer it will obtain 337,500 coins and so on. Every person who answers AFTER the first will obtain just 1 trivia point.
The trivia point shop is located at the market, and can be accessed by trading with Max (Skillcapes & Trivia).
The market can be teleported to by using one of the following methods: Typing ";;shops", typing ";;market", or by pressing "CTRL+S"
The trivia point shop's stock is listed below, along with the points required for each item!
Ataraxia dollar: 25 points (start dumping your points into these after you've purchased the Excalibur, Magic secateurs, Silverhawk boots, and Amulet of farming)
Excalibur: 50 points (VERY useful item. Required to craft the Enhanced Excalibur with ;;comb, which is a requirement for the trimmed completionist cape)
Deathtouched dart: 50 points (I would not recommend purchasing these due to their extremely high cost. Your points are much better off being spent on dollars)
Key token: 5 points (Don't buy this, ever.)
Double keys token: 6 points (not recommended to buy these unless you somehow have absolutely zero need for dollars. You'll get a higher gp/point on average from buying Ataraxia dollars, and get more use overall if you end up using them)
D&D token (daily): 15 points (don't buy this. only real use is to reset Guthixian caches at the moment, so it's not particularly useful.)
Crystal bow: 30 points (very decent t70 ranged weapon for the mid game.)
Staff of Light: 30 points (decent t75 magic weapon.)
Balmung: 30 points (don't buy this. Niche t60 weapon that provides additional accuracy and damage bonuses against Dagannoth.)
Magic secateurs: 25 points (useful for farming herbs)
Drakan's medallion: 25 points (relatively useful for penguin hunting)
Ectophial: 25 points (relatively useful for penguin hunting)
Amulet of farming: 75 points (absolutely essential for farming. Allows you to teleport to most farming patches.)
Spring cleaner: 75 points (not recommended to buy with trivia points, as you can just make it through Invention. Useful item for automatic alching and disassembling of drops.)
Silverhawk boots: 150 points (very useful item for training Agility completely passively.)
Ataraxia T70 Set: 200 points (not worth buying with trivia points at all. This set effectively costs 8 Ataraxia dollars, which is very overpriced.)
Faithful shield: 75 points (don't buy. This is an incredibly niche shield which offers the second-highest prayer bonus for the off-hand slot, bested only by the T95 Dark Sliver of Leng)
II. The process of finding and answering trivia questions
A new trivia question appears about every five minutes or so. You can spot a trivia question easily in the chat by the [Trivia] tag and its bright cyan color.
You can answer trivia questions by typing in the chat box, following this syntax:
;ans ANSWER
or
;;answer ANSWER
You can also answer trivia questions through the command console, accessed by pressing ALT and `. Then, type ans ANSWER

Gz Batt , you really knocked it out of the park haha nice job on the multiple wins pog afff the skilling contracts was really close!! 🤪🥳
Nice job to all that competed though, was fun and hope another one can be done in the future some time- thanks for making it happened Jaedmo 😎
Thank you :]. It was some of the most fun I've had playing. I love all the nerdy theory-crafting stuff, so I was having an absolute blast.
Also I agree; I can't wait for further competitions, if ever there are any more I'll 100% be competing again ;). Thanks Jae for the awesome event!
