Barrows

Written Guide

In this guide, I will be showing you the mechanics for Barrows and the best way to gets drops and specific drops. Also some tips and tricks. Lets start with the location.

How to get there?

The cheapest way to get there is by pressing "F3" on your keyboard an clicking the "Beasts" tab. Select The Barrows Brothers and click teleport. This will spawn you at the entrance of the area.

The fastest method while not the cheapest is to attune a portal at home. This will spawn you on the middle mound ready to start the fights.

What to expect?

Once you are at the location you will see in total 5 mounds. Each mound will house a specific Barrows Brother. Each brother will have their own special trait which you should look out for.

How to start?
The best way to start Barrows is in the middle mound. Enter the mound by clicking on the spade. Once inside you will see a Sarcophagus. Search the sarcophagus to activate the fight. (There is a chance that it will say that you found a tunnel, if you don't know what that means then click no and continue reading the guide.)

How do I fight each Barrows brother?
Each fight can be a little different but the good news is since this is a low level boss fight, you don't need to worry too much about the mechanics. I'll detail them here anyways. (Click the eye cause its a lot of information)

Ahrim

This guy attacks with mage and will decrease your Strength stat. The best way to fight him is to pray Mage and attack him using Ranged. He is located in the middle mound.

Verac

He will attack you with Melee and also hit harder through prayer than normal. The best way to fight him is with Mage (preferably something like Blood barrage that can heal you.) He is located in the most North Western mound.

Dharok

This little guy is the most trouble for people. He will attack you with melee and hits very hard and even harder the lower his HP is. Pray Melee against him and use Mage to attack him. (Ice barrage to bind and attack him is the safest way to do it.)

Guthan

Some people struggle to complete the kill on Guthans due to his special ability. He will sometimes heal when he completes a damaging attack on you. The best way to kill him is to use Mage and pray Melee against him. He is located on the South Eastern mound.

Karils

This guy will drain your Mage stats on damaging attacks however, is very easy to kill. The best way to kill him is with Melee and pray ranged. He is located on the middle Southern mound.

Torag

He will hit you with Melee and is probably the easiest of them all. He can drain your spec as he attacks you. Best way to kill him is with Mage. He is located on the South Western mound.

Special ones are;

Linza

They have a lot more HP than the others. Attack with Melee but doesn't hit hard. Best way to kill is with Mage while praying Melee. This one is found under the middle tunnel with Ahrims.

Akrisae

They attack you with Melee and have a chance to drain your prayer on each attack. Best way to kill is with Mage while praying Melee. They are found under the same mound as Verac, in the most North Western mound.

Entering the tunnel?

Assuming that you do not have the perk, when you enter the tunnel after searching the sarcophagus, you will be teleported into the crypt. Inside the Crypt you need to run to the correct door (that faces the chest in the middle) and unlock it. *Note* that killing more monsters in the crypt does nothing for your drop rate unless its one of the brothers from opening the doors which can spawn if you did not kill them all above. Once you have located the correct door to unlock, you will be presented a puzzle. If you correctly solve the puzzle, you can go to the center room. If you fail it, you have to go and find the door again.

Final fight?

After you have entered the last room you can finally kill the last brother. Click on the chest to search for it and out pops the last brother. Kill them with your preferred method and after they are dead, click search again. Take your loot or bank it and right click the chest and close. (Quick loot doesn't work.)

Tips and tricks (Click the eye below)

  • If you are going for the log, start off by killing all the brothers and then after you complete the log on that certain brother, skip it and only kill the others unless the one you are skipping is required to finish the run.
  • Looking for a specific item? Just kill that one brother and then go in and out to find the tunnel.
  • Always start on the middle mound and after completing that mound, always go left or right to keep yourself organized to avoid surging around to find the brother you skipped.
  • Surging is great for the outer mounds, bladed dive is also nice to speed up kills.
  • The Skipper Perk is a must have for those completing the log for Barrows. Its $15 (Ataraxia Dollars.)

Congratulations! You killed barrows.

Godwars 1 Bandos - WIP

Written Guide

In this guide we will be going over Bandos and how to kill him. This is a introductory boss so the guide will not be super long.

How to get there?

The best way to get to Bandos is to attune a portal to avoid the need to walk so far. You can use the Beasts tab by pressing F3 and clicking on the Beasts tab (Or escape --> quests tab --> beasts tab) however, ultimately you will want to use the portal at home if you plan on staying at Bandos for a while.

What to expect?

Bandos is a introductory boss and can be killed easily with lower tiered gear. There is not much HP and Bandos does not directly have any hard hitting mechanics however, you should still bring some food and make sure you have plenty of prayer potions. Check the video guide or the picture for the gear required.

How to start?

Once you have gotten to the start of the Bandos area where you can enter the door to the main boss room, you will need to gain 40 Killcount on the monsters outside. You can check your kills on the UI under the Godwars Kills counter. Once you have all 40 you can enter the main room to start the fight. When you click on the final door you will be prompted with a instance option. ALWAYS make a instance for Godwars 1 bosses as this makes them easier to fight.

Mechanics?

Now that you are inside the room, there are not many mechanics to note however, you can avoid more damage by prayer Melee the whole time and switching to pray ranged when Bandos slams his arm to the ground. This will create a Ranged attack that can hit you for a good bit of damage. You do not need to worry about the minions as they do negligible damage to you during the fight and they respawn every time Bandos does which makes it useless to spend time fighting them.

Strategies?

The best strategies is to use Mage healing aoe such as Blood Barrage. Standing on this tile below will allow you to hit everything in the room aside from one minion.

When standing in the correct space with Mage Blood Barrage, you can take this a step further and wear and Demonhorn Necklace from Dungeoneering and a Bonecrusher. Activating the Vamp aura is always a good choice as well to prolong your kills and avoid eating any food or drinking a prayer restore potion at all if you have better gear.

Congratulations! You killed Bandos.

Tips and tricks (Click the eye below)

  • Buy the GWD Specialist Perk. Its $10 and allows you to skip the need for the Killcount
  • Wear and Demonhorn Necklace and carry a bonecrusher or put it in your toolbelt to restore prayer
  • Use Vamp aura and purchase the $10 Overclocked perk for 5 Minute cooldowns.
  • Bring a Pack Yak with the $10 Favored Familars perk to use the Familars Spec to bank rares to increase session times at Bandos for more kills per hour.

Godwars 1 Armadyl - WIP

Written Guide

How to get there?

The best way to get to Armadyl is to attune a portal to avoid the need to walk so far. You can use the Beasts tab by pressing F3 and clicking on the Beasts tab (Or escape --> quests tab --> beasts tab) however, ultimately you will want to use the portal at home if you plan on staying at Armadyl for a while.

What to expect?

Armadyl is a pretty simple boss similar to Bandos and the others GWD1 bosses. The Ranged attacks can hit you for a bit and the minions can hit hard mainly the melee guy.

How to start?

Once you have gotten to the start of the Armadyl area where you can enter the door to the main boss room, you will need to gain 40 Killcount on the monsters outside. You can check your kills on the UI under the Godwars Kills counter. Once you have all 40 you can enter the main room to start the fight. When you click on the final door you will be prompted with a instance option. ALWAYS make a instance for Godwars 1 bosses as this makes them easier to fight.

Mechanics?

When being attacked by Armadyl, you should watch out for the minions. They will spawn and continue to spawn meaning killing them does not make much of a difference. Focus your DPS soley on Armadyl.

Strategies?

Stay in the door as soon as you enter the room. This will allow you to avoid the damage from the melee minion. From there it is all about prolonging your trip. Taking a bonecrusher with a demon horn necklace whilst using Vamp aura is always a big plus. DPS Armadyl down until dead.

Congratulations! You killed Armadyl.
